It's Me!

,

I grew up performing live theater – I really love it so much. Music and art absolutely make my world go round  (if someone could find me a piano bar in East Tennessee I would be eternally grateful). There isn’t a moment of the day that I don’t have a song in my heart (or in my head for that matter!).
My other serious passion is anthropology and human rights – this is where I feel like I can make a difference and do my part for the greater good. It’s why I went back to school and jumped off the path I had paved for myself and am tripping up and down the mountains, finding my way as I go along. I will figure it out eventually, right?

Here are some things you should know about me …

I love celery and dinosaurs. I am bossier than I probably should be but this comes from a place of love. As much as I love and want to care for humanity I also want to punch it in the nose on a fairly regular basis. I love tv, movies, and pop-culture. I feel guilty that even though I am a liberal activist (and kind of a big nerd) I can’t get into listening to NPR.

On The Down-Slope you will find my personal thoughts and feelings as the main feature plus lists of people on MY LIST  as well as a list of GOLD STAR STICKER recipients. There will also be pages featuring different causes and activities that I am involved in and in particular, information on Amnesty International at UTK, Pooh's Poetry Corner, The Paper Heart Project, Notable Quotables, and a host of many things!

Peace,
J
